The Funniest AI Art Bloopers

AI art is here and boy oh boy, is it strange . . . sometimes. Here’s some of our favourite AI art that isn’t what we’d call good.

The Impossible Countertop

Wouldn’t you love a reclaimed pallet wood countertop in your home? No? What if we told you that it came out into the middle of the room in a dynamic curl? And blocked the refrigerator, for some reason?

Jokes aside, let’s learn a lesson here: contractors showcasing stuff they might be able to build for you could be using AI-generated images and not have the ability to build what they’re promising at all. As if renovating needed to be even more exciting!

Hold My Foot

To be clear, it isn’t just that the girl on the right is offering her friend her foot, as one would hold hands. It’s also that the leg seems weirdly short. And maybe it’s missing a knee? And how is it coming out like that? We have many questions, and we’d prefer not to hear the answers.

Shake On It

By now, you’ve heard that AI image generators struggle to figure out hands. How many fingers should hands have? Where do they go? Where should hands bend? And how many times should they bend? All questions we asked ourselves when we were four years old and regularly drew people with legs sprouting directly from chins. Anyway, hands: AI still can’t figure it out.

Double Teeth

Yes, you’ve already spotted this model’s weird fingers and . . . we want to say double-decker ice cream cone inspired by an egg? But if you look closely, you’ll see that this model has a second row of teeth. Like a shark. Or a xenomorph from the hit franchise Alien.

Is That Really Trump?

Nepo baby Eric Trump shared this image of his dad’s heroic return to New York City. Not to get too political about it, but why would anyone believe that this is real? And is this the AI art future we have to look forward to?

Loab

Twitter user @supercomposite used the fairly innocuous prompt “DIGITA PNTICS skyline logo::-1” and somehow got a bunch of images of this lady (nicknamed Loab) with weird red triangles on her cheeks. We assume that it’s some kind of digital internet demon who will now haunt @supercomposite for all eternity . . . or until the next Adobe update. Either way, Loab has her own Wikipedia entry, because the future is strange.

Crungus

Oh, did you think that Loab is only one of the manywas the only weird AI art creations that’s have taken on a life of its (their?) own.? Meet Crungus, the world’s first AI cryptid. By typing the made-up word crungus into Craiyon, Twitch streamer Guy Kelly created this internet monster that looks like a reject from the Critters movie franchise. Oh, and like Loab, Crungus also has its own Wikipedia entry. What a time to be alive.
