How does Digital Home Phone work?

Digital home phone works just like your traditional phone service, using a standard phone handset, except your phone calls are sent over the Internet instead of over traditional phone lines.

 

 

Does my computer need to be on to make or receive calls?

No, your computer does not need to be on to use Digital Home Phone. Only your high speed Internet and your power need to be on for your phone to work.

 

Can I use my Digital Home Phone service when I travel?

Yes, simply plug your adapter into any high speed Internet connection wherever you are, and you can make and receive calls from your phone number, just as if you were using your Digital Home Phone from home.

 

Can I use my own adapter?

Primus provides you with the adapter that is required. Other adapters will not work on the Primus network.

 

Will my Digital Home Phone service work with all my phones?

No, only the phone that is plugged into the adapter can receive the calls, however your starter kit will include a link to an online wiring guide that you can follow so all the phones in your home will work. You can also use your digital cordless phone system with multiple handsets.
